Aunty’s Hen Activities
OK ladies, how do you fancy getting involved in some of these hen weekend activities? There is truly something for everyone, from those who love to relax to girls who wanna have fun, fun, fun!!
Beautiful Hens
Your wedding day is a day to go all out on the beauty front – all eyes will be on you, after all – and what better way to start the beautification process than with some pampering whilst on your hen do? Let us arrange some 5 star treatments at a Spanish beauty parlour but without the expensive price tag. How do invigorating facials and deep cleansing face treatments with chocolate, caviar and algae sound?! If you wish, we can even arrange for Botox or filler injections with a registered plastic surgeon.
Hen Horse Riding
Get back to nature with our hens on horseback activity. You and your hens will feel wonderfully majestic, sat resplendent upon a lovely shiny chestnut or strawberry roan, with the breeze blowing through your hair and the beautiful Costa Brava woodland as your backdrop. We’ll take you to a traditional Spanish stable about 30 minutes away from Tossa de Mar. Hard riding hats will be provided for everyone, and once you’re saddled up you’re hot to trot! It doesn’t matter whether you’re a complete novice or a blue-ribbon pony club winner, this activity is suitable for everyone. The ‘mane’ event lasts about an hour, and it’s a great way to get out and about and see some of the Catalan countryside whilst having fun with your girlies.
Ultimate Shopping
Sun, sea and…….every girl’s favourite activity: yes we’re talking shopping! You’ll be picked up and taken to the best variety of shops in Barcelona – probably the best variety of shops in Spain, actually! And you don’t need to worry about finding a space to park or having to carry your heavy bags back on public transport – it’s just pick up, set down and off you shop!
And it’s not just one stop either; first of all, you’ll visit the famous Roca Centre Village. This chic outlet shopping centre has been voted one of the nine best outlets in Europe by Vanity Fair magazine. All the top designers are there: Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Camper and La Perla are just a few of the names amongst the 95 boutiques, and with 60% off of the high street prices, it’s no wonder it’s a Mecca for the serious shopper!
On your return, we’ll also stop at the Mataro Park shopping centre, where you’ll find all the Spanish high street favourites: Zara, Mango, Pro-mod, Pull and Bear etc – there’s even a hypermarket!
By the end of the day, everyone would have found a shop to suit their budget and taste. New outfit for tonight’s festivities, anyone?!
Hen Paella/Sangria Master Class
If you’d like to go home from your hen weekend with more than just memories of a wet weekend in Blackpool, why not take some of the culture home from your Costa Brava hen weekend? Our Hen paella and sangria master class will allow you to do just that. We’ll take you to a great Spanish restaurant where you’ll go inside the kitchen to see just how real paella is made – and you don’t even have to remember the final details, as we’ll provide you with a recipe card to take! Then, while it’s cooking, you’ll be taken back to your table for an authentic sangria making class. Then you’ll be able to enjoy your gastronomic delights for lunch with a three course meal all washed down with that sangria! A real tasty treat, and a twist on the traditional cocktail making classes that lots of hens opt for when hen do-ing in the UK!
Hen paint balling
Who said that paint balling is just for the stags?! If you fancy tearing around the Spanish woodland, chasing your hens with a gun filled with fluorescent pellets on one of Europe’s top paintball sites, then this activity is for you! The site has even hosted several world championships, so you’ll be following in the footsteps of the best of the best for two hours, with the very best equipment and courses available to enjoy too.
Hen Power Boating
Indulge your inner speed freak with an exhilarating trip on the speedboat ‘Splash’ – just like the ones used by the UK’s RNLI Lifeboat service. Don’t be fooled by the boat’s gentle departure from the main beach – suddenly the water will open up and you’ll be off! Hold on tight while the wind whips your hair and the sun shines down upon your back!
You’ll stop off at some secluded bays along the way for some chilled out swimming, and you’ll also visit an authentic 1930s smuggler’s cave. The excursion lasts about an hour, and you and your hens have the boat exclusively. What better way to combine the excitement of the ocean waves and tranquillity of this beautiful part of the world?!
Hen Quad Biking
Now we know that some of you adventurous ladies out there would have already done quad biking on a purpose built circuit, but here in the Costa Brava we like to ramp it up a little….this is real life quad biking along the dusty ledges of the Cadiretes mountain range! We hope you have a head for heights! Please note, participants of this activity must hold a valid UK driving licence .
Hen Belly Dancing
Your husband-to-be will fall in love with you all over again if you choose this activity! It’s fun, it’s sensual and it’s just that little bit different….you’ll be picked up from your hotel and taken to a class with a dance teacher who is the best in the business. She’ll teach you the movements and also a typical choreography and you’ll end the session with a relaxing wind down of the muscles. We can guarantee, this causes much hilarity, but is also immensely enjoyable and a skill you’ll enjoy for life!
Hen Monkey Swinging
“Me Tarzan, you Jane!” – Well, at our hen monkey swinging facility you can fancy yourself as either Tarzan or Jane! Consisting of approximately 35 obstacles which include rope bridges, Tarzan swings and zip slides up to 40ft above the forest floor, you can monkey about to your heart’s content! There are three different runs and you’ll have all the necessary safety equipment for your 2 – 3 hours session (session length depends on the size of the group).
Hen Segway
Fans of Channel 4’s Coach Trip will know all about the Segway! If you choose this activity, you’ll have 1 or 2 hours on a guided trek through the Cadireta mountain range (once you’ve gained your balance of course!). Great fun and no licence required!
Hen Archery
Be your very own Maid Marion with our hen archery! You’ll be taken on an exhilarating powerboat journey to a great archery centre set in a beautiful hidden cove. Here you’ll receive expert tuition on the equipment before being allowed to unleash your competitive side against your fellow hens! A great activity, and suitable for complete novices through to experts!
Hen Cave Swimming
Add some mystery to your hen weekend by following in the footsteps of smugglers. Once aboard the thrilling powerboat ‘Splash’, you’ll have a tour of the rocky Costa Brava coastline. After the excitement of the high-speed ride, you’ll drop anchor at an authentic smugglers’ cave, where contraband would have been stored many years ago until it was safe to take ashore.
Sea conditions permitting, you’ll be able to jump ship and swim through the beautiful Mediterranean waters to the caves entrance. Once there, you’ll have a guide lead the way by illuminating the cave by torch light. Everyone swims single file behind your guide, and after some climbing, you’ll be inside the cave to experience the enchantment of the cave’s atmosphere whilst taking as many photos as you wish with your waterproof camera.
Hen Catamaran Cruise
What better way to top up your tan, relax with your mates and drink all the sangria you could ask for than on our Hen Catamaran Cruise?! This is a four hour excursion from the moment you’re picked up from Tossa beach and includes a BBQ lunch plus beer and sangria! You’ll also have the chance to swim, sunbathe or muck about with the inflatable when we stop at a beautiful cove. Relaxation central!
Hen Scuba Diving
The waters around Tossa are crystal clear and therefore perfect for diving amongst the outstanding surrounding geology and marine biology. There are a myriad of islands, caves, islets and reefs to explore, ideal for scuba diving enthusiasts.
On a Discover Scuba dive you’ll be able experience an underwater world consisting of unusual rock formations, sub aqua life, curious looking fish, octopuses, squid and more! You’ll go home with hen-memories to treasure for a life time!

Hen Go-Karting
Show the boys girls are just as good drivers as they are with a few laps around an incredible outdoor go-karting circuit! Only your group of girlies will be on the track, competing against each other over 12 laps at speeds of up to 100kms per hour in 270cc Super Honda Karts – real boys’, ahem, sorry we mean girls’, toys!

Hen Team Building
We know that most of you lovely ladies have various different groups of friends who’ve probably never met before, but come together for your hen weekend. So what better way is there to bond your best buddies than our hen team building?! And it’s not just as simple as that….even before your group arrives we’ll send you questionnaires to fill out. The completed versions are then given to a team building psychologist who analyses each one and then decides who would be the best ‘mole’! So just as you think you’re all working together, one fiendish lady among you is discretely trying to make the team lose each trial! But will you be able to work out who it is? With trials testing your mental strength, physical ability and, at times, your sense of humour, you’re bound to have tons of fun!
Hen Kayaking
A great activity for those of you that love outdoor pursuits. After a high speed boat ride to a gorgeous cove, you’ll have a one hour guided see trek with a qualified instructor. You’ll have a basic instruction explanation and then you’re off into the waves!
Hen 4 x 4 Spa Safari
If you’re looking for a twist on the traditional spa hen weekend, look no further than our hen 4 x 4 safari! Combining adventure and beauty, the day starts when you’re picked up in open top jeeps and driven cross country through the mountains. You’ll be taken to a Roman spa town built on a hot spring, and you’ll then have three hours to enjoy yourself in the thermal waters! You can also relax amongst the counter-current rivers, hydro-massage benches, bubble basin, hydro-massage beds and the swimming area – plus there’s three indoor and two outdoor spas! Beauty treatments are also available for a little bit more – everything you need in preparation for the big day!
Hen Banana-Boat Ski Bus
There will certainly be thrills, and maybe a few spills too with our hen banana-boat ski bus! You’ll be pulled along on an inflatable banana behind a speed boat – great fun and lots of laughter guaranteed!
Hen Pirate Treasure Hunt
Shiver me timbers, you’ll love our cleverly themed and challenging hen pirate treasure hunt! A great way to bond any of your mates that don’t know each other, we’ll guide you through trials and games for two hours with the picture perfect 12th century walled village of Tossa de Mar as your backdrop. As you follow in the footsteps of genuine Spanish pirates, you’ll be searching for clues and resolving puzzles as you hunt down the bounty of Catalan gold!
Hen Hot Air Ballooning
A sophisticated and chilled-out hen activity, your hot air ballooning day will begin when you’re met by your pilot and flight attendant. The prepping of the balloon normally takes about an hour and a half, and then it’s up, up and away! Depending on the weather, you’ll fly at approximately 500 and 2000 metres. The flight will last about an hour and a half (depending on weather conditions) and then you’ll be met by the follow-up team who will whisk you away for a complete breakfast. And what better way to celebrate your last weekend of freedom than with a champagne toast to go with it?! We’ll also take some photos of your flight and provide you with certificates to give you a wonderful memento of your hen hot air ballooning flight.
Hen Wining and Dining
After a perfect day of hen activities, it’s time to refuel ready for the evening’s activities! If you’d like a meal in a local restaurant, let us book it for you. Tossa de Mar is foodie heaven with hundreds of restaurants to choose from and offering everything from local specialities such as delicious fish and seafood, and more traditionally Spanish dishes such as Paella, through to British favourites such as steak and chips! There’s even Italian restaurants, Chinese, curry houses…..the list goes on!
If you’d like to embrace the culture, we can recommend dishes and wines too – just tell Aunty what you want from your hen do wining and dining and she’ll book it for you!
Hen Fantasy Men
Listen up hen ladies! If you want to indulge the bride-to-be in a little naughty night time entertainment, let Aunty organise a fantasy man for you! From Oscar to Brandito Miquel, our men have it all. Just tell Aunty what your hen party is into and she’ll spring the surprise in the perfect night spot for you!
Hen Pub Crawl – Lloret de Mar
Lloret de Mar is just a 20 minute drive from Tossa, and is renowned for being one of the liveliest party spots in the Costa Brava. Offering countless pubs, clubs, amusement arcades and even a mini-casino, you’ll be in your hen do element! It’s just like having a night out in Blackpool, Southend or Newquay but with better weather, later nights and more partying!
Beware, however, that party poopers shouldn’t join this night out; only serious party animals will be able to hack this event that goes on into the small hours! Two experienced party goers will join you on your pub crawl to look after the whip (the money, not the dominatrix kind!), take you to the most vibrant hotspots, make sure you’re plied with complimentary welcome shots and make sure no one goes astray by one taking the lead and the other bringing up the rear, leaving you free to party, party, party!
If you book this activity then your club entry fees and transport to and from Lloret de Mar will be included – so no worrying about how you’ll get home. If you want to include some time at the Roulette or Blackjack tables in the mini casino, you’ll need to bring your passport or National I.D. card with you to gain entry.
If you’re up for a night of fantastic partying, drinking and dancing by the seaside, make sure you ask Aunty in advance for the Lloret pub and club crawl!
Hen Pub Crawl – Tossa
Tossa offers a host of buzzing bars and quaint clubs that are open to the small hours and represent an excellent nightlife! And what’s more, because Tossa de Mar isn’t a typically boisterous hen hotspot, you’re not going to run into problems with other rowdy gaggles of hens. It has a happy-go-lucky atmosphere, all about drinking, laughing and generally enjoying yourself! What more could you want?!
